Christmas in a Backpack It is almost time to start collecting backpacks for our largest annual project. We will be delivering backpacks full of gifts for orphan and needy village children in North India Dec. 29, 2010 - Jan. 7, 2011. If you would like to be involved in this years project, you can donate a new/or like-new used backpack along with $10.00 per backpack (used to fill the bag with gifts in India. Ex: Wool blanket, bath towel, toothbrush, toothpaste, toys, candy, school supplies, Bible, etc). If your church or organization would like to be a drop off site for collecting backpacks/money, please email and let us know ASAP! We will have collection sites/drop off locations listed in October. However, if you would like to give early, Concord Baptist Church, Clermont GA is doing an early collection, so you may drop your bags there or even at our office, 624 Green Street, Gainesville, GA. If you are interested in being a part of the short-term mission team traveling to India to deliver the backpacks, please email us for details! |
